Take Me Out to the Ballpark!

United Shore Pro Baseball League

ISP Technologies is proud to be part of the State of the Art new Jimmy Johns Minor League Baseball Field located in Utica, Michigan. The $15-million ballpark is the brain child of Andy Appleby, founder and CEO of General Sports and Entertainment, who wanted to create the most technologically advanced, well appointed, family friendly venue, period. “We wanted to create something that was one of the top facilities in the country,” said Andy Appleby, the man behind the development and construction of Jimmy John’s Field in Utica.

With a total capacity of 4,500 fans, the ballpark will also have 22 Suites, Cabana Suites, Picnic areas and a Grass Berm Seating Area. To provide the highest concert quality sound and the best distributed sound system with all patented and patent pending technology, Bluewater Technologies demonstrated the ISP Technologies Pro Audio and HDDS gear to General Sports and Entertainment to be installed exclusively throughout the complex and won the bid.

Bluewater Technologies, a national AV integrator based in Southfield Michigan which operates four distinct business units: Meeting & Event Technology, Audio Visual Integration, Experiential, and Fixtures & Displays, was the integrator of choice for the installation and service of the entire Audio, Video and Lighting of the ballpark. Bluewater designed an audio system that hit home for the Jimmy John’s Field with its pristine, custom built, high definition system. Needing to have the best sound available for the field and bowl area, Bluewater asked and ISP answered by custom designing 19 CX™ Series coax speakers which were hung along with 4 XMAX 218 subs to provide 23,000 watts of power to the space. Also included in the system is the ISP Technologies patented High Definition Distributed System™(HDDS) covering the suites, concourse, and restaurant, with 48 SM800’s, 2 SM2110, 15 SM652’s, 5 CS651, 5 MC1000 master control modules, and 10 RM22i remotes for the suites to allow the use of the visitors their own audio inputs. The HDDS gear runs both power and audio over the same CAT6 wire. In keeping with the high-end image that General Sports and Entertainment required, Bluewater also installed a state of the art LED scoreboard and digital signage which included the Absen A1088-10mm LED, Absen A1688-16mm LED, and the Double Sided 10’x’25-Absen x16 LED marquee.
